ski pylon ideas

anyone have any suggesstions or ideas on a diy ski pylon. Looking to add one to a i/o 18ft. seacraft. Basic quetion would be where to mount or place so its not in the way of cowel cover of engine compartment thx.

maybe aski eye on the transome would be easier.a bit lower but still an easy option.
