I will be looking for a boat in the upcoming months and really just don't know a whole lot about all the makes and models. What are the best makes and models that work well for all three of these activities that also seats about 10 people? Also, wht is the best way to go about searching for a used boat?

depends on ur budget and what are are really looking for, a simple bowrider with anyhting equal or more powerful than a 4.3l will work, but like I said, budget is everything

To have a 10 person capacity he will probably have to look at a V-drive wakeboard boat or a deck boat.

You can look at the Yamaha Jet Boats. They come with towers and the 23 foot ones are rated for 10 people I believe.

I would suggest at least a 23' bow rider an a minimum of a 5.0 liter v-8. Don't for get you will need the space not only for the people but for the equipment.
I have had both Mercruiser and Volvo out drives. Both are nice but the Mercruiser is a little less expensive to work on. You can look on boats.com or boattrader.com.
