I already found the polo shirt. The pants are off white kakis easily found anywhere. However, I am having trouble finding the hat.

One source for a high quality hat is almost dead on but has Greek laurels on it.

Would any you guys know a source of quality black captain hats with the anchors but no laurels?

I see some that are similar on some sites and on ebay in the $15 and under range but I expect those to be crap. Looking for something upperscale which a yatchsmen would be proud to wear. I am willing to pay $25-$30 and up for well made in assembly and materials.

I would prefer ones that are NOT adjustable but all suggestions will be great.

Any help will be great.

You might be able to find a blank hat and have the logo embroidered on at you local sewing shop.

Do any of you have either one of those hats shown in those links?

How is the quality? Dead ringers are on eBay and are cheap looking. I am hoping these are not the same.

Two years ago I bought a white sailors bucket hat on eBay for about $15 not including shipping and the material is very thin and brim made from cardboard. Cheap crap and I don't want to get screwed like that again.

Okay fellows. I have about 30 of these hats with variations based on age and manufacturer.

The Skipper's hat Alan Hale wore is manufactured by Lancaster Cap Company of L.A. CA. They are pricey. Around 275.00 ea at last check. I usually order them a couple at a time and work them over on the price a bit to get a little better deal.

Quality is excellent and they are handcrafted complete with gold bullion embroidered insignia.

Here is one I had made which is probably the one I wear the most.

EDIT:

So these are my regular headgear. I also have many lesser used caps of older vintage. I don't like ballcaps...and never have. Anyone can wear a ballcap. I like good quality caps, including fedoras, cowboy hats, and anything else that is classic in styling. But the skipper cap gets the daily workout.
