slickcraft question???

i was asked to sell this guys 1969 slickcraft 17' boat for him... he said it needs a new engine but has a new outdrive installed.. he also wants me to include the trailor in the sale... does anyone know how much i should be asking for this.. here are some pics<br /><br />

yea... thank you for your help... i looked on there but they didn't have any 1969's or slickcraft 17'... does anybody else have any idea... thanx in advance

Well, the boat looks pretty good, but without a closer look, who knows.<br /><br />A dead engine is definitely not a plus here.<br /><br />Also, it's a 1969. If your friend can get $1000 or so for the whole outfit, he should grab it. There's no underestimating the negative value of a dead engine.<br /><br />Most folks buying older boats are looking for a cheap way to get on the water. Running boats get the best prices. Dead boats often don't sell at all, unless you find someone who has a holed hull and a matching engine for this boat.<br /><br />I looked at the NADA values for 18' boats from this manufacturer, but a couple of years newer. Prices ranged from about $800 to about $1500. There's your price range.
