Re: Slight problem getting back to the dock last week
I don't know. Really , I don't. We were heading back to the dock after dragging the kids around on a tube for a few hours. I was in a fairly shallow area and I MAY have kissed a sand bar but I didnt feel anything. Just conjecture. In any case after about 5 miles heading back to the dock in 70 feet of water at 60 MPH, the motor revved up and the boat stopped. I thought the prop might of come off and shut it down immediately. I pulled the motor up and yep, the prop came off along with all of the prop shaft from the bearing carrier rearwards. No skeg damage whatesoever so I'm pretty sure I didnt hit anything. At SEI the rep said it probably just failed on a stress fracture. They had it for two days and sent it right back to me fixed.
