Slime ?????

I was cleaning out the cabin area of my Wellcraft 210 Classic last. I removed the middle cushions that covers a a cubby hole and found this jelly like substance covering everything that was under there. It seems to not have a smell to it. Any ideas as to what this is and what is causing it ?

It wasn't frog eggs was it? They lay their eggs in a slimy clump and since it was in a covered area, maybe?????? :facepalm:

That's a heckuva guess...

in salt water? (thinking Carroll co. in Maryland). If so, might be alive -- like the frogs. But plant not animal. Saw something like that in bilge water, and want to thank you for bringing that to mind again....:cold:
