slow speed

when my boat i/o is at troll speed it seems to track itself like its weaving is this normal for a i/o you can grab the lower unit and move it side to side maybe 1 in" is the normal

Yes, most v-hulls behave this way. It is called bow steer or low-speed wander. The best solution is adjustable trim tabs or Smart Tabs. Run in the full down position at displacement speeds (slow) they make a noticeable difference. Will probably improve other, high-speed, handling characteristics as well.<br /><br />Also, you need to make many teeny tiny wheel corrections, instead of fewer major ones ;)
