Yes, it is around 600ibs!And any weight added by building a cabin, decreases the Boats capacity by the same amount.
To be worth the effort, the added cabin would likely be awkwardly big to gain any sort of workable 'cabin' on a 14ftr.
Added bow weight isn't great on a 14ftr.
Weighed the boat yet? It's certainly old enough to be trapping water below decks.....

I am only going to make it high enough so when I'm sitting in a couple inches above my head, I would need to crouch to get under it. It's only going to be 5 feet back to cover the front benchI don't think it would be too heavy size would matter, but I think windage may be a problem.
That seems awfully heavy for a 14ftr,It was 600ibs when I got it
