Small boat windshield swap

I'm probably getting an early 70's Starcraft Jetstar 15' tomorrow, just as a putt putt boat that's easy to tow and launch. The windshield is split in two which I know is cosmetic, BUT. I have the windshield from a 2001 Smoker Craft 196 Allante which is in perfect shape and is a bowrider windshield with a walk through. I'm thinking I can use the 2 outer parts and leave a walk through. Thoughts on making this work? it's a swoopy taylor made windshield
