I have found a small oil leak from my engine that is dripping about 1 drip every 30 minutes while running. It is not that much but after a while it starts to build up.

I have found that it looks like it is dripping from the bottom of the flywheel cover. The only thing i can see that would leak, according to the manual, is the rear main seal. Is this correct, or could there be something else back there.
There are 2-3 small bolts that hold the flywheel cover on that are missing that i just discovered while looking for the oil leak that i am replacing. I don't think this would matter though.

Also, from the looks of it, i have to remove the motor to fix this seal if it is the problem?

Thanks for the help as always,

Dean

Sounds like your rear main, and yep, engine has to come out to fix it. Curious as to why you'd have missing bolts on the cover. Someone's been in there before.

Thanks for the reply.

Not sure if someone has been there before, but i found 2 bolts in the bilge and it looks like maybe 3 are missing...
