Small Oil puddle under lower unit/prop area?

After running my engine on the 'muffs' to clear the saltwater out yesterday, I pulled it into the driveway and parked it.<br /><br />This morning, I went outside and noticed a very small puddle of dark oil underneath ther prop/lower unit area(approximately 3" Diameter).<br /><br />If I remember correctly, this is 'normal', just excess exhaust/water mix. It definitely isn't gear oil.<br /><br />Let me know if I should be concerned, and what it could be from, or if I am just being a worry wart.<br /><br />Thanks!<br />Shawn

Hey Shawn......<br /><br />If it's black nasty lookin' stuff, don't worry about it. If it's a dark like amber color....worry. Wish I could go boatin'

I figure it is the 'exhaust residue' stuff. It is black, and smells like exhaust.<br /><br />I know for a fact that it isn't LU lube...<br /><br />Wish you could go boating? Is it too cold in your neck of the woods or what?<br /><br />Shawn

19 degrees in the shade tomorrow with snow flurries. I like livin' along the mighty Ohio river but sometimes it just sucks.

Your lucky. Mine puddles up on top my cavitation plate and stains the paint while I'm gone. It's exhaust. No sweat.

Mine drips down the skeg, so I've got a stain going down one side of it...no prob though.<br /><br />Thanks guys<br />Shawn
