small slow leak coming in the engine compartment

I have a 19ft Sea Ray bowrider. When my boat sits in the water, water leaks in and my bilge pump kicks on. I would say the bilge pump kicks on about every hour or so. I looked for the leak and i can see the water coming in in the very back bottom of the engine compartment right in the center, I can barely see it though and i cant get my hands back ther to feel around. I just have the standard brass drain plug but ive made sure its tight. When im cruising no water comes in the boat. Has anyone else had this problem? I hope its not the bellows, i checked them and they appear to be fine. Any help would be appreciated.

It might be the Y pipe or transom seal. You need to take off the drive to get a good look at bellows before you can rule them out.

If you allready have water coming in then the seal is allready comprimised. You need to look into this farther before it let's go. Your bildge won't keep with a bellow that let's go completely.

agreed this needs to be looked at asap, and it wont be cheap - but if you ignore it the price will go up when outdrive components are ruined, or the boat sinks :)

update:: I wrapped some pipe thread around the drain plug and that fixed the leak. I guess i will get a new drain plug. Im glad it wasnt the transom seal or the bellows!!!
