Hi folks
I just installed the Smart Tabs SX model 60's on my 2006 1802 Trophy w/ 115 Merc four stroke. I set the actuator in the middle hole as instructed in the directions. Now when I get on plane I have a wall of water spraying half way up the sides of the cowling on the outboard. I installed the tabs per instructions, 5 inches away from the chine. Anyone had this problem?

Re: Smart Tab Problem

My Bennet trim tabs did the same thing..so i cut a piece of stainless steel 3/4 wide by 8 inches long and attached it to the inboard side of the tab,so water will deflect down and not soak the motor.

Re: Smart Tab Problem

Good idea. Thanks Marine. I sent an email to John ( Smart Tabs) asking him about it. Going to pull the boat out of the water in the morning and try to reduce the pressure ( Adjust) on the tabs. Maybe they are biting a little to much and not moving up with the water pressure. I may have to scrap the Smart Tabs all together.
