The actuator is 10" from Ball socket to ball socket (overall about 10.5") for the Stainless Steel Smart Tabs.For the SX series the actuator is about 10.5" from pin location to pin location.
What you realy want to know is how far up on the transom will the top backet mounting location end up. This has somewhat to do with the angle of the transom, but generally it will be abotu 10.5" up from the bottom edge of the hull.
However; ther is a way to reduce the required height to about 7.5" using the Stainless Steel Smart Tabs. I suggest that you call us 800-233-0194 with some additional details on your boat if you feel uncomfortable.
