Hi Folks!
I'm installing a set of traditional (stainless) Nauticus Smart Tabs, and while the trim plates themselves are in place, the instructions have me really confused about the proper installation of the bits supporting the gas cylinder...
- The upper, transom-mounted bracket has two holes on one side and a slot on the other. Are the two holes are for screwing the bracket to the transom?
- Assuming then the gas cylinder mounts to the slot, should it be mounted rigidly in the slot or allowed to slide in the slot? (I'd think so, but the cylinder boot collides with the bracket if allowed to slide.)
- What is the arrangement of hardware (bolts, washers, nuts) to fasten the gas cylinder to the upper bracket? (The instructions describe a jam nut, but none were included with the upper bracket hardware.)
-What is the arrangement of hardware (bolts, washers, nuts) to fasten the gas cylinder to the lower , trim plate-bracket?
Thanks!
Dave
