hey john, im having troubles. one of my smart tab actuators isnt actuating. its just flopping around like there is no spring action. i know you frequent this board daily, i purchased the 1290-80 kit here from iboats june 2005 for my 20'mako. theyve been great so far. <br /><br />is there a warranty?<br />is this something i coulda prevented?<br />myoutboards@yahoo.com<br />mike black <br />cell 727-643-1661<br />thanks

Hey Mike..John must be taking the day off..<br />I think there is a warranty on the actuators.I have had mine a couple months and can't find the owners manual..<br />Thier number is, 800-233-0194

Mike; <br /><br />Warranty is Two (2)years on the actuators and five (5) years on all of the stainless components. Call 800-233-0194 and we will forward the new actuator no charge.

thank you john.<br /><br />i posted this here, not to show that your products break( i mean, they ALL break eventually)but to show everybody else how you take care of business. i knew that your company has AWESOME customer service, mostly due to you!<br /><br />i hope that other companies in the marine industry take note and follow your lead.<br /><br />thank you very much<br /><br />a loyal smart tab user on two of my boats!<br /><br />mike black!

Indeed it is very seldom you see a Individual that has a great product out there hustling customer service and support.....Your to be commended ... ;)

We do try to be fair and provide good service. We established a warranty period based on what we felt would be the minimum and reasonable service period in relationship to the cost. <br /><br />We are pleased that you all feel our service is good, especially in an age when customer service is relegated to "push one if you wish to continue pushing buttons", "push two if you wish to talk to the wall", etc. <br /><br />Thanks to everyone for your support, and we will try to keep our end of the bargain as well.
