i put my tabs on last night i got the SX series very easy to install!! i had a friend over that asked why am i putting silicone in the holes?? i thought he was joking but he was not he then told me he has had tabs on his boat for 2 years and did not use any silcone at all and has had no problems has anyone else ever heard of this i find it hard to believe that it is not leaking

Actually leaking? Probably not, but if he has wood in his transome it's sucking up water and will eventually rot out the transom.

If you use the sealing tape that is provided with the tabs, you should not need additional sealant (although I did use some on my installation as additional precaution).

I personally don't like to screw anything to my hull without some 3M in there with it!!!​
