This season I've added a little weight in the stern, a second battery with a nice guest switch setup, rebuilt the engine box, and storage of some tools (just in case). First time out I was porpoising for the first time since buying this boat. Just couldn't get the trim right and get the smooth ride I was after.
I kept reading posts about the slightly blemished tabs and I bought in. They installed in less than 2 hours. I've started with the default setting.
I would not have imagined the difference. She's jumps up on plane, handles the swells nicely, runs about 200 rpm less than before plus gained close to 6 knots at WOT.
I made my usual run, so I can't wait to gas up and see how much fuel consumption improved. With a Mercruiser 888 (ford 302) I typically use ~4 gallons/hour, but that includes a number of 6 kt no wake zones.
If your on the fence, don't be... Best $99 I've spent in the BOAT (break-out-another-thousand) world.
