I have a 1997 mariner magnum 40hp 4 cylinder 2 stroke. Model# c40elhpto serial# 0g465226. When I troll or idel it smokes alot (oil slick that also folllows me), oil injection pump was recalled once, replaced fuel pump gaskets last summer tha did not seem to help. Did not do anything with 2psi check valve. And another oiley problem this thing has is under the cowl alot of excess gas or oil on the bottom seams to be dripping from the carbs. At the bottom of the shaft for the butterfly. thanks for your help

Sounds like float level should be adjusted and you need a manual to adjust the oil flow properly to spec.

Thanks the carbs were rebuilt last summer also. As for oil injection adjustments I could not find any not even in a service manual for that motor just a 2 psi check valve and I was told they never go bad or do they.
