smoking .....95, 120

95, 120 horse. at the top of the shaft, whare the top of the steering pin is, on the side closest to the boat, smoke comes out. Its not so bad when running wot but in no wake zones it comes foward into the boat.<br />i guess my question is should exaust come from there or is that something that can be fixed?

My 125hp was doing the same about three weeks before it through a rod. I dont know if there is a connection but watch your Temp. and only use top grade oil. Check your block over to make sure there are no holes. If your engine is running a little ruf you have a cylinder mis firing, and that is why you have so much smoke. Take it in to a dealer ASAP and get it looked at. GOODLUCK

There are several gaskets between the powerhead and the adaptor plates. These deteriorate over time.<br /><br />
