I know "Steve" (yeah, right!) lost the "how fast" thread but I am still curious -- when you said you got in an STV in WPB, was that with Howard the Duck?

I'm surprised there was a first time! Lol! He must have been a stranger to you.<br /><br />Howard's a good guy. Just different. We always had fun back in the early drag race days. A friend of mine (and his actually) ended up with his old STV and now it lives about two miles from me. <br /><br />If you run into him tell him hello!

Usualy, when I pop in to see him now and then, he's sitting behind the "Big Desk" pushin the pencil and crunching the numbers keeping both dealerships going...<br /><br />Small World...

Snapperbait - Duck sighting!<br /><br />I saw Howard today at the Ft lauderdale Boat Show. Same ol Howard....goin wide open into the wind with his hair on fire!<br /><br />Save the ponytail!

You know Dhadley, I had half a notion to go to the boat show and Bass Pro Shops today but figured that with the races at Homested and the boat show going on this weekend, the traffic would be rediculous... Since I'm on vacation this week I'll probably head down on Monday.. It does run thru Monday?.. Right?...<br /><br />Where was The Ducks spot set up?... Was Keith there too?...

I think today (Sunday) is the last day. He was working one of the boat displays in the convention center near Yamaha. I didnt see anybody else I knew in that booth.<br /><br />Who was racing at Homestead?

I looked at the paper this morning and it says the Boat Show runs through Monday...<br /><br />Turns out the Winston Cup races I thought were this weekend at Homested are actualy November 14-17... I'm not a race fan but I would swear up and down with all the commercials I heard on the radio the last few weeks that the races were this weekend.... DUH.. Shows how well I listen.... <br /><br />I think we best quit with the idle chat before the mighty hand of JB moves us to "nothing to do with boats"....lol

Nothing to do with boats? The Lauderdale show was full of them. And the radio station that was giving away the NASCAR weekend was giving away a boat at the show. <br /><br />Hope you made it to the show. I wish I would have had more time to spend there. Next year. And the Miami show is just around the corner!<br /><br />They picked up the "how fast" thread. Cool!

Well unfortunatly I did'nt make it to the show.... <br /><br />Went up to Vero Beach Saturday and pushed the old truck too hard... <br /><br />Rear main seal let go on the way home, I think... Now the underside of the truck and my driveway looks like I ran over the Exxon Valdees... It blew at least a quart and a half in the 150 mile round trip.... Spent my day chasing parts and fighting with it... Sounds like fun huh?..<br /> <br /><br />When is the Miami show?... Never been to that one... I know it's a monster of a show... Dang!..Now I got the Boat Show Jones...
