I use them on lures and hooks when the bait is over about 1/4 oz.<br /><br />Use ONLY ball bearing swivels with coastlock snaps. Any of the cheap ones will sooner or later introduce you to the agony of defeat when you have a trophy on.<br /><br />Good luck.
Absolutely right on advice JB. I use a swivel on crank baits and spinners. They have a bad tendency to go into twist mode if they have a bad landing on the cast and can mess up a line in a hurry without a swivel.
