home is where we drop anchor, If this were true you wouldn't own a snow blower or you would be sucking up your anchor line

I've done that with the riding lawn tractor too. PITA

just bought a new 100Ft 14ga at homedept for 30 bux + tax. its a husky, 3 dollars cheaper than the walmart 100ft 14 gauge, comes with a 3 year warranty and for some reason weighs almost twice as much as the walmart one....something tells me the walmart one wouldnt actually be able to take a 13 amp load....

Probably attending to another emergency ... the other day we had a choice, go to a chimney fire where all the occupants were out of the house and limited danger of fire spread or injury, or go to possible cardiac arrest. Life comes before property, and in this case, the second due caught the chimney fire and all was well there and the cardiac arrest patient survived. Homeowner might not have been happy at the start that it took an extra 5 minutes to get a rig in place at his house, but the right call was made.

Well it was not plugged into the house, but it was plugged into the boats 35 amp stubby cord as I charged up the batteries the day before.
Thank god it let go or it would have ripped the one side of the boat rite off.

ugh :facepalm: the wife payed about $100 bucks for that cord because I kept complaining about how we always get the cheap cords that split open or generally do not last.
So when I told her about this, well I got a ear full.
And when I showed her, well, you guess.

Its always interesting to see what you can "find" in the snow with your snow blower.

I my self have found rocks and chunks of pavement left by plows. Bowls that were left out for the neighborhood dog (cat food that the cat was "done" with). Dog poop (thanks from the neighborhood dog for the cat food). Golf balls (dog also).

And the best one was finding the Sunday Globe. You've never lived until you had to pry out a frozen news paper that is jammed in the second stage of a snow blower with nothing more than a screw driver in 10 degree weather with numb hands and a blowing wind! :facepalm:

The worst thing I ever found was a folded up newspaper that took me about 2 hours to dig out of my auger. Bad enough, but what was it doing under the snow in my driveway when I don't even subscribe? The paper decided to give us a "free trial". They didn't like my call refusing their offer!
