Re: Snow challenge

That looks very familiar, Woody. It's supposed to be a heatwave the next couple days, around 30. We haven't seen 30 since the beginning of the month..... Hopefully, it will settle some of the snow. Then we're going in the deep freeze with below zero highs for a few days.....

I need to get on the roof today. Some of the vent pipes are getting buried..... Gots to dig them out.....

Heading to the cabin to go snowmobiling...supposed to have more than two feet there. A lot of snow for December and not being in a lake effect area. We'll see.

I used to live in N Mn. I was curious "appox" where your cabin is?

I need to work on our sleds today, greasing etc...... May get time to use them tomorrow. Trails around here should be great.

It's windy for the first time this month. With all the fluff on the roof it looks like a blizzard outside...... Trees have been full of snow all month too. Maybe they will clean out.....

You should make up some 'vent snorkels' that you attach in the fall. Then you wouldn't have to climb up there to clear the snow!

Not living in a heavy snow area, I never gave them any thought. My vents are pretty stubby little things and I am sure that some of them have been covered, a time or two.

Re: Snow challenge

This fell in Florida overnight!!!!! Just kidding, it's actually from Hokkaido in Northern Japan. Look at the absolutely perfectly plumb walls and edges. Only in Japan! I swear, everything they touch turns to art.

It would have been fun to watch the snowblower that cut that path.

Re: Snow challenge

The kids wanted to see snow so we drove up to Flagstaff (120 miles) for a couple days. Got 6" while we were there. Fun.

Drove back down to Phoenix where it is a pleasant 65* degrees today.

Best of both worlds.

There's avid of it somewhere online (probably youtube). It's pretty amazing to watch. They've got it down to a science/art considering they do it every year.

Leaving for northern Michigan tonight, they have 16-20 inches just about everywhere. Nice to see early snows for the mid west. Snowmobiling is what we do in the winter up here, otherwise I'd move.
