My old Cub (1972) had an electric lift for the attachments. After the past ten years I have put about $400 into it. It is dead again.

Since I aquired a boat from my SIL that had no outdrive or motor, I just couldn't see how I could recover my loss. The gimbal still had the pump and rams from an OMC Cobra. So I removed them and installed them on my snow plow. It is awesome now. So I guess I got some use out of the boat!

It is strong enough to lift the front end of the tractor off the ground. That is going to be handy for busting up the ice in the driveway.

Thought I would pass this idea along in case someone else had a similar problem...Got to be prepared for the winter......YUK YUK YUK!

When I see any object, I don't think of the intended uses, but what COULD it be used for.

Thats a good idea. Prepared for winter, thats almost a curse word, but I have been bidding snow removal jobs the last few days (I plow snow in the winter). Hard to believe that I am bidding plow jobs and still fishin' my boat....

JB, I'll post some pics when I get another camera :( I was taking some pics from my bucket truck of a friends property. The thing slipped out of my hands, dropped about 35' into a bush. Thought it would be okay, but the friends dog got to it before I could get back down.. That was another one of those days I just wish I stayed home. :(

When you don't have the cash to buy what you need, one sometimes has to improvise with what you have. MacGyver Engineering.

Yep, getting close for the snow. This morning is the first morning we didn't have frost for the last 6 days. Lowest temp here so far has been 34F in the early morn....
