Monday/Monday nite 10-18". Earlier than last year. So far the Almanac is looking correct. Truck is ready except for getting the plow tires on. Having it done tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able to see the road to make the 25 miles. Noon app't. Is it spring yet?

These first snows are getting ridiculous.......

Wim, think about the sledding. Ommm, ommmm, think about the sledding, ommmm ommmm think about the sledding ...

Well, quite a disappointment so far.
The front pushed further north than predicted, and I ended up with about 5" so far, and some freezing rain to scare people off the roads.

Musky should be getting plenty though, as he is about 80 miles NW of me, I think.

We still might pick up 3-6 more by tomorrow afternoon, but I wanted to plow tonight.

Here are some snow totals, so far, as of 11pm, for NW Wisconsin.

Spooner, Glidden, Springbrook, 14"

Hayward 11"
Ashland 8.5
Superior 7.5

No matter how much we don't want it to come the calendar says day by day winter is coming.

....to be quite honest....I miss the snow and clear, cold weather.
One thing about more northern climates is that you typically have the advantage of having and watching many seasons come and go. Its a great part of life and not often acknowledged or recognized.
We are a '3' season area here in the PNW....spring summer and fall.....not much winter at all and typically next to zero snow, but lots of rain.
If I had my druthers I'd be outta here for a couple of months of winter further east or in Ontario.....outdoor hockey, ice racing, skating...lots of stuff to do imho. Then back again for spring and summer.
My two bits.

Roscoe, we ended up with 9/10", that's enough. The way they forecsted, it could have been a lot worse.

bassman - As long as my back/neck straighten out sledding sounds great! Added a rear heat exchanger to help keep 'er cool and went thru the whole sled as far as maint. She's in tip-top condition and waiting in the garage to go rip some snow....

So, Musky, did the back/shoulder hold up with a day of plowing?

Yeah, I heard they got the main brunt of the storm, AND the lake effect as the cold front came over Lake Superior to push the storm out.
Several feet, is what I heard, but no details.

I used to have a set of those tracks on my ATV when I used it for plowing!

If my driveway was any bigger i'd pick up a plow truck too but i doubt it would speed things up any when you consider all the other driveways I would be asked to clear too. Doh! At least I'd get warm biscuits and coffee though
