Snowmobile Painting

This is for the 'Up North' folks on the board. I inherited a Indy 400 and it needs a bit of repainting on the hood. It's got all the custom paint that I really don't like, plus the old numbers are painted on the hood. I will be registering in WI this year, so the old numbers have to go. How hard is it to repaint the hood? Sand 'er down, prime and paint? <br />Remember I got the sled for FREE.<br />Thanx!<br />Dman

I believe I'd use a glossy enamel over sanded primer. The smoother you get the surface, the better the paint job will be.
