I was travelling through beautiful Grosse Morne national park in Newfoundland and saw a smal herd of caribou. Got out to take a picture and one of the animals walked up to within 10 feet of me. It almost seemed like it wanted to be petted. These are wild animals in their natural setting and showed no sign of fear at all .....just curiosity.....very thrilling to encounter nature like this .

Very similar in Banff national park... it is just astounding.

In the town of Banff.....it is a daily event to see an elk.....Majestic with a full rack....in the center of town...with people all around going about thier day.

the only thing you have to watch out for is the the really big kitty cats,,,,they look like they want to be petted....but even JAWS would have a hard time with these little felines.

oh....the views arent too bad either.....

That's cool.
When I lived in Fairbanks, we had a mama moose and baby that hung out in our front yard.
Pretty fun during morning coffee when a big ol' moose head appears in the living room window of the split level.

You did have to be careful checking the mail, though.
We didn't want to accidentally get between mama and her baby.
