You have no responsibility on the sale. Private party sales are sold "as is" and he saw the condition of the boat and trailer when he purchased it. He should have negotiated price upon buying it for all the things he claims he had to do to the trailer. In addition, it was HIS responsibility to ask for the test ride. Since you already knew it ran perfect, you probably didn't think to offer a test ride. Don't let this guy make you feel guilty...None of it was your fault. In other words, tell him to **** off!
