Yes. I would be angry.

The consequences I mention would depend on how young and full of testosterone I was.

I have been mobbed and beaten for commenting that I didn't believe Jesus was divine. I didn't consider that an insult, just an expression of my personal belief.

I do have first hand experience with what testosterone loaded young men will do if they feel their beliefs are contradicted, much less insulted.

The bigger picture I believe is about respect.
The Muslim religion is associated with terror,
suicide bombings, hate, violence and it is in
everyones face dominating the news.
People have lost their respect for this type of
behavior. And this religion is suffering because of it.
You can not legislate respect, and it appears that
is what these Muslim religious groups are trying
to accomplish by making this a U.N. issue and by
closing their embassy's.

I don't blame them for being insulted. I do blame them for making it a political and possibly violent. I am not sure what in the picture made them think it was mohommed, but our PC news services won't air the cartoons for us to make a decision. Funny how they will air pictures of Jesus Christ on a cross in urine but won't flash us the cartoons.

If you want to live in a country with a free press you should learn that taste is relative. How exactly is this nothing more than repression of freedom of speech? Boycott the paper, and its advertisers, but I believe they are grandstanding for effect.
I totally agree with what you've said, however taking into consideration of not being the ones that were living under occupation for nearly 40 years, could the same yardstick be used when applied to the settlers in the occupied territories? [/QB]
Self righteous prophesy inspired messianic zealot settlers with a superiority complex have earned a special place in my "damn you" booklet. Many are the days and nights that I had to be away from my family on reserve duty to protect these expansionist fanatics from the people that had been disowned by these settlers.Being at the receiving end of molotov cocktails while protecting these settlers who were busy praying, was not my favorite pass time. But that is for a different time and thread.

They showed it tonight on the channel 5 news. Darn disrespectful of 'em, too.

Remember the artist who photographed a crucifix in a glass of urine? Very nearly inspired some Christian violence.

Otherwise, I can't think of a single example of violence done in the name of Christianity...

They can be offended, but they cant call for violence or blame the countries for the actions of the newspaper.

You see, the muslims cant seperate church from state, or their world from the rest of the world.

Ken

I thought the "Stop, we have no more virgins" was pretty funny.

Any person that gets violent over cartoons/art/books,etc is wrong.

Ken
