What do you guys recommend to do? I'm assuming you mix some type of pigment with the resin at least on the top layers after you fill with fiberglass and resin. I just want to be able to sand it without having a white spot when I'm done that will at least let me spray the clear coat over it and not stay noticably white there. I've picked up the original metal flake to mix on the final layer too. Am I going about this right.

I'm patching a bunch of drill holes to different trolling motors, a couple 2 inch crack/disintegration spots and one that I will mention here for advice.

At the very front of the boat is a spot about 4 inches long where the top of the boat goes over the edge of the bottom. The top is basically chewed away where it only has about an inch of a lip at the very front of the bass boat. The lip is basically missing and I wanted to know what you guys would recommend as a way to rebuild that part? I'm thinking of laying something like a piece of aluminum foil or wax paper that would allow me to lay some layers of fiberglass over it protecting the bottom of the boat underneath and then trim it back when it hardens pulling out the underlying protection that I'm guessing will give up sticking to the repair. Any advice as to what to use?

Thanks,

Gary

that sounds like a plan to me. I would use wax paper instead of aluminum foil though.
