The impeller looked great still flexible and no cracks however on the metal bottom plate is there not a gasket between it and the impeller housing? If there was on that one it came off with the i/h but it seemed that it would have one there but i can't remember seeing one.

If anyone knows for sure your answer would be appreciated.

Also another update the motor is running now and starts up fine I had it running a couple of days ago but it wasn't shifting so dropped the lower unit to check that and the impeller and good news the solenoids were just stuck didn't take more than my finger to push it and they are working again. So it runs and shifts and I do beleive that is all you need on the water, well and it cools so I am lake bound lol, Thanks to everyone who answered my questions and the top secret file really is like the holy grail for info, but I know I know nothing beats the oem service manual which should arrive at my house on wednesday, lol

According to the parts break down there is no gasket under the plate or between the impeller hsg and the plate.

There is no gasket between the w/p housing and plate. There is a gasket between the plate and the lower unit.
