I know its an Alpha One, Gen. One, but could it be the SS? It had an SS prop on it when I bought it............

I don't believe that is an SS drive but you can identify them by the lower gear case design. The SS lower will have a sharp nose cone point on the leading edge of the gear case and the Alphas will have a rounded blunt nose at the leading edge.

The fact that it has an SS prop is irrelevant.....​

What is really odd about it, is why anyone would want a go fast/expensive boat with an Alpha upper........ Wouldn't it make a lot more sense to use a Bravo upper with the high speed lower?

Ace, that drive SN is for a standard Alpha I, with a 1.98:1 gear ratio, on a 3.0L engine.
