Mine wasn't too bad!

$50 - New tire.

$30 - New ignition coil; mine was cutting out last year so I anticipated having to replace it.

$60 - New boat cover, previously covered with a large tarp that had worn but kepy my boat clean and dry all winter!

$20 - replacement OMC shift interruptor switch.

$15 - replacement horn (mine never worked and I wanted one).

After replacing the ignition coil and tinkering with a bad wire she fired right up first try! Not bad for a 25 year old boat. Glad I took the time to properly winterize because we had a ROUGH winter this year.

Other than the $2000 carport I built so I wouldn't have any surprises in the spring. Zero. :)

$40 - gear lube

$200 - nice new pretty gauges that actually match the boat. Didn't need them, but with saving so much by doing my own maintenance, I figured I'd treat myself.

Zero to pull it out and start it. However, to use it is probably going to be $800 for a new lower unit since it likely crapped out on the last trip of the season. It doesn't surprise me on a 35 yr old outdrive, but expensive nonetheless.

Edit: also needs new tires on the trailer as the old ones are over 10 years old. ~ $350.

Lets see. New boat this year so
$200 in dishes towels etc
$750 in plotter
$200 TV
$100 Cooler
$200 extra parts
Hit a curb and bent the rim, was able to pound it back in to shape but bought an extra so $125
$100 in fluids and grease gun
$300 in boat cover
$700 portable generator
So grand total for my boat so far this year about $2,500

Oh yeah by new Bravo drive had a tooth come off inside the upper end Mercruiser is investigating to see if its impact damage or poor casting of the part when it was made. That will be about 4K to fix if merc denies the claim.

So far only $50 for the trailer rental to get it off of blocks and into water. I had to spring for $87 for a new battery since the one I had used the week before to de-winterize the engine suddenly had zero charge. Had the charger on all night long and still nothing in the morning. The boat had to go in so off to the auto parts store for a new battery.

Took the dead battery back to the store where I bought almost a year ago and they tested it and said it took a full charge so I now have another battery. Now to find out why it went dead over the week. I see a battery switch in my future.

You might try a battery tender this winter.

I pucked one up from a garage sale cheap and on a whim but I have used the hell out of it on all my cars and toys. When I bought the boat the owner said it was due for a new battery, but this is the second year of it going strong for me!
