So who else has to work July 5th?

UPS is shut down, my wifes company is shut down, all my friends are off.... but for some ignorant reason, our shop is open.

Of course July 4th is on Sunday, but it seems like every other business is closed on Monday to celebrate our Independance Day!

Just wondering how many of you will be on the lake while I'm at work....

Me, its going to be a skeleton crew though. I volunteered since I will get a floating holiday. I figured I can take another 3 day weekend when the water will not be as busy, plus there will be very little work to do on the 5th.

And on top of that, I don't work on Fridays. Even thinking about taking Thursday off and having a nice five day weekend.

I work from the 2nd through the 4th with the 4th being 20 hours of pay. 8 hours straight time and 12 hours at 1.7.

Looks like I'm buying more stuff for my boat!

I'll be off the 5th and 6th though.

I'm taking a half day thursday, don't work fridays during the summer and then have monday off too!!

It's the only way to live!!

ME!!! ME!!! pick me..............Starting the Lock no. 12 modification at the Bellview dam on the Mississippi river on the 5th. We just finished up Lock 13 in Fulton.

We are heading to the cottage for a week and a half or so on Thursday evening.

I'll be working on the 5th.. of course in Canada our holiday is on the 1st (Thursday). I had already booked off the Friday so I'd have a 4 day weekend and back to work on Monday.

I'll be at the plant all weekend. 2x12+8 hrs it's hard to turn the money down. The lakes around here will be full of boats. I'm going Thursday to get my day in. Hopefully it won't be crowded. Hey with the holiday pay for Sunday I'll make enough to pay my house off. FREEDOM
