I own a 1998 19 ft robalo cc with t-top. The deck under the port forward stanchion seems to be delaminating, cracking and becomming very weak. I examined under the deck and discovered that the factory did not fill the voids between the stringers and under side of deck with there sealent. I installed a backing plate but the problem is still getting worth. Please help.

Re: soft floor

Is there any water in there?

Is there the possibility of sealing things up well and adding a pour foam to solidify things in there really well? In doing all of this, certain careful procedures of course would need to be followed. Since we aren't there looking at your boat, we can give you some ideas and you can look at the possibility and read what others on here have done as well.

Others may have other ideas as well. You may want to do some searches within these forums to see what others have done are doing.

Re: soft floor

Thanks for the reply. I am going to use a 8 inch backing plate and use a good sealant between plate and underside of deck. Do you know of a sealant to use and the name of a pour foam. I used the expansion foam from a can. I figured it would not be stiff enough. The pour foam is a great idea. Thanks again.
