I have a soft spot where the floor meets the base of the seat on the starboard side of my boat. It is a 1993 Sport Bass. I tried to put some oversized screws in to try and pull it up but apparently it is either rotten or broken. 2 Questions
1- Is the floor fiberglass or wood? and 2- Is this a big project to take on?

Typically wood, but some floors have a fiberglass sheet over top of the wood. And yes, if you have never done a deck before it is a timely and sometimes costly process. If you do want to get into this, first thing to get is a respirator. I have gotten sick off of black mold, not fun.

The deck is wood that's suppose to be encapsulated in fiberglass. You should definitely inspect further by cutting out the rotten area to see if the rot is spreading into your stringers, deck, and transom. Please post photos so we can better assess the extent of rot damage.
