soft spots in hull

Recently aquired a 1988 trophy. Can anyone tell me how to check for soft spots in the hull? appreciate any input ty.

Not on the hull, on the deck. Walk on it, if it feels spongy or soft under you feet run away, it helps if you're a heavy type of guy 200lb+
