I just bought a Solas Amita 4 Blade prop for my boat. So far I am very impressed. It is smooth, responsive, and does not cavitate. Info below. Hope folks find the information useful.

Specs

Drive / Engine
1971 Mercruiser MC 1
140 HP 4 Cyl
Gear Ration 1.98:1
Cavitation Plate is 0.5" above the bottom of the boat

Boat 1974 Crestliner Norseman DC
Weight 1500 lbs empty + 200 lb operator + 60lb gas = 1760 lbs ( give or take a little)

Weather
10 kts of wind on the bow
Light chop

Full down bow trim
Boat launchs almost level. Used to stand on its stern. Now it litterally jumps up on plane with no problem. Runs very flat and smooth. Steering is easy left and some what stiff to the right. However, once the right turn starts, it feels nice and smooth again with low forces
WOT = 4500 RPM at 31 kts on the GPS

As I started to trim the bow up, I immediatly felt the bow lift and the boat started to ride and respond more like a pad boat. Started to feel the slap of the water on the hull vs going "through" the water. However steering load to the right was basically jammed due to torque. Will need to adjust the trim tab.

WOT=4800 RPM at 34 kts on the GPS
