Solas Props

Can someone give me a quality rating on this Brand? I am needing a new prop for my 9.9 HP Evinrude, and iboarts is advertising a Solas 3-blade std replacement for less than $50.00. An Evinrude dealer wants almost $100.00. Is there that much difference in construction, or is the dealer just that much higher?

I have a pair for my CC. I finally took them off and went back to the al OMCs. Were I to buy another set of SS props I would not buy the Solars. Price is not everything.

have a solas on my 90 evinrude.works great!its a 4 blade ,and give my boat better performance than the new 3 blade i have in all respects. good props.

Mixed reviews:

Most people having a less than perfect result with their SS props.

Most people not seeing any difference in Al. props.

Did this thread stray off? You weren't looking for a SS prop were you? I have a 90 rude and it came with a 13x19 Solas which works great. I bought a michigan wheel as a second didn't like it and returned it and bought another Solas 13x17 for larger loads. Personally I really like Solas.

The only prop from them that is any good is their high rake cleaver ......
