I think you need to crimp, solder, wrap, shrink, hammer, torque, clamp, shot-peen, snap, plate, paint, dip, spackle, tie, twist, stretch, heat, compress, soak, steam, slam, glue, staple, epoxy, forge, freeze, charge, launch, stomp, weld, rub, fry, bake, lick and wham the connection to meet everyones requirements.

Things are so simple when you take everything into account.

Edit: Oh, oh, oh, I forgot tape. Ya gotta tape it too.

I don't advise Mark’s shortcut. It’ll rot out in no time. You gotta shave it bald then squeegee-swage it, first.

I have found that super glue is the absolute best connection material available. Seals the wires together and salt ect... out. No need for solder, crimpers, connectors... just glue it to it. Done. Of course..... it will never come off which could be a bad thing.

Mark,

Does this mean that if you used poly instead of epoxy, in step 24 above, that it will not stick at all and will fall apart faster than you can tape it back together?

Not even $0.02 worth,
Joe

Rabbit,

The time trial is still in progress, but at this juncture we feel the connection as described will produce the desired results.

Gil,

Super Glue was part of the attachment procedure, but over time we discovered many technicians walking around with connectors stuck to their fingers so it was deleted.

Joe,

Everybody knows that poly does not stick to electricity as well as epoxy. Duh.

Crab Bait,

Problem? What problem? I don't have no stinking problem....

Obj, is it spring yet?

:D :D :D

fingers? Oh, earthling appendages for the hands.... sorry. I of course don't have that issue, but then I wasn't thinking of you guys. Sorry for the interplanetary insensitivity.

Maybe I'll experiment with paper glue next....

Wireless is great, till you have high solar flair activity or a nuclear(neuclear if you are the president of the USA) attack. I'll stick with superglue, no pun intended.

May can I use the bubble gum method? I know, I know, turn off the power before inserting the wire into mouth to get the gum in the right spot!
