Forgot to mention. It's a new battery and all the cables look good and clean.

When I replaced the battery I cleaned the terminals that connect to the battery.

It is getting power and starting normally with the jumper wire I ran from the circuit breaker which leads me to believe the battery terminals are no involved.

The terminals on the solenoid are new because it is new. The connectors are all shiny.

So I guess the next step is tear the purple/red out of the harness unless I get find out where it feeds from and where the problem lies. According to the wiring diagram one of the splices comes from the alternator.
