Solenoid Question.

I have a 62 40hp evinrude lark. the solenoid (regular auto) has two big terminals, one battery, one starter. are these two terminals swappable, or are they one way only.

Strange question but they are swappable. Just a flat plate that connects the two when the solenoid picks up. It don't know in from out.
