Re: cylinoid

Are you talking about a starter solenoid? Legally no! All boat engine parts must be marine certified.

Re: solenold

Automotive electrical parts are not made to be arc free, don't need to be since they are not in enclosed areas where fuel fumes can accumulate. My life and the life of my passengers is much more important to me then the few extra bucks I have to pay for the correct parts. Plus, there is a legal concern IF problems happen. Rather be safe then sorry! Just my opinion!!!

Re: solenold

Did you ever hit your choke when it wants to die. If it picks up and goes you may have some carb probs. Adjustments or cleaning ?

Re: solenold

Did you ever try "hitting" the choke and see what happens ? BRP/Evinrude part # 772031. Should be available at any Evinrude dlr. It's a fuel additive. Worth a try but best thing to do would be is remove carbs, clean them and install new kits. If you're going to do this work yourself I'd highly recommend you get an OEM service manual. Not Seloc or Clymer.
