Are you talking about a starter solenoid? Legally no! All boat engine parts must be marine certified.
10-4automotive electrical parts are not made to be arc free, don't need to be since they are not in enclosed areas where fuel fumes can accumulate. My life and the life of my passengers is much more important to me then the few extra bucks i have to pay for the correct parts. Plus, there is a legal concern if problems happen. Rather be safe then sorry! Just my opinion!!!

thank you i did not noEver had a marine engine be it sterndrive or outboard blow up on you that had a fuel leak and wasn't using marine certified electrical parts ? I did !!

Did you ever hit your choke when it wants to die. If it picks up and goes you may have some carb probs. Adjustments or cleaning ?
