Last night I started the boat and was idleing to warm up engine. After about a minute the engine stalled like it was out of gas. I pulled the f/a's and pushed the throttle and found 1 carb not squirting. I pulled the top off of carb and found the bowl empty. I pulled the float and valve, and found the valve and seat clean. I put it back together and started the engine again. idled fine for a bit and stalled again. I again pumped the throttle, and found the same symptom w/ the other carb. I smacked the carb on the fuel inlet bolt w/ a rubber end of a screw driver, and all was well again. I went for about an hour ride w/o any probs.
The carbs have 1 yr old kits in them w/ needles and seats changed. What could be causing the intermittant sticking problem. The boat was last run about 5 days prior. Would Sea Foam or any other additive help w/ the problem?
Thanks, and sorry for the long post.
