SOLO outboard

Hello all, I am lookin for info on SOLO outboards. I just purchased a 14' runabout with a 70 hp Solo motor on it. The powerhead has "volvo penta" cast on it, the controls are all evinrude.<br />The motor has very low hours and runs great but nothin lasts forever. I am haveing a hard time finding anyone that knows anything about this brand. Any help will be appriciated. Thanks, Mark

Hello, Thanks for the welcome. <br /> I have found some info on SOLO outboards. It seems that SOLO bought out VolvoPenta's line of outboards in the late 80's, tried to market them for a year or so and gave up. SOLO is a german based company and they do deal in small 2-stroke weed-eater/ chainsaw type items, but no more outboards. There are no parts available. This is a really sweet motor, guess I'll run it till it dies. Mark
