I had thick sludge in the bottom of my plastic gas tank due to the previous owner letting it sit for years. I have got most of it out with a palmolive/water solution and a power washer. There are still some small spots left. What solvent should I use to get the rest of it out? Acetone would not be good for plastic, right? What about rubbing alcohol? Any ideas?
