I have a maleron thruhull that was installed with rtv silicone that needs to be removed. What solvents that will soften the rtv will be safe to use on the maleron?
To clarify the fitting was installed with the rtv and the fitting needs to be removed from the aluminum it's stuck to. Scraping with a knife isn't an option because there's no access.
