Hello all - hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th. I'm looking for some feedback as to which prop I should look at. Here's the data on the boat.

2007 Sea Ray 210 Select
Engine is a Mercruiser 350 Mag MPI 300 HP
Alpha sterndrive
Dry weight of boat is 4080 lbs with typically 25 gallons of fuel and 4 adults and maybe 200 pounds of gear.
WOT is 4600 rpm (recommended WOT is 4600 - 5000), and GPS speed is 44-45 mph

The current prop is a 14 1/4 x 19 Power Tech SS.

I'm looking to be a bit faster out of the hole when pulling skiers. It is a bit sluggish, especially if anyone is sitting in the rear seats. Wondering if I would be better with a 17 pitch 3 blade, or perhaps a 16 pitch 4 blade.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I would go to the 17 3 blade.

Stainless or alum....in your case alum just might be more effective in a 18p 4 blade or a 17p in a 4 blade ss...Both being solas..The 17 in a 4 blade ss is going to pull harder than the 18 and perhaps not lose to much top end..BUT the 18 may effectivley up the rpm band enough to offset the ss advantage...Hmmm now if your rich you could try them both...:D..

The real determining factor here is getting the engine to the top of the rpm band...That being 4900....You will spend very little time there i think..But that should make life much eaiser for the engine at all operating speeds increasing longevity and lowering maintance..The rest is just splitting hairs and spending money

Now that is opinion..;)

Thanks Tail Gunner! I think I'll try going with the 18 pitch 4 blade. Will let you know how it works out.
